Environmental Manifesto
With deep responsibility and commitment to the future, Takter Brasil presents its environmental manifesto, reaffirming its vision of a more sustainable planet in which technology is a fundamental pillar of ecological transformation. Our expertise in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is closely aligned with global efforts and, above all, with the ambitious decarbonization and climate resilience targets Brazil has set in its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
The Amazon: the lungs of the world and the future of life
More than a vast forest, the Amazon is the beating heart of the planet, an ecosystem of unrivaled biodiversity and a global climate regulator. Its immensity and complexity make it an irreplaceable natural heritage whose health directly affects ecological balance and life on a planetary scale.
Historically, the Amazon has been a symbol of abundance and resilience, but also of vulnerability to the challenges posed by climate change. Sadly, in 2023 and 2024 Brazil witnessed climate tragedies, such as droughts in the Amazon and floods in Rio Grande do Sul, which underscored the urgency of climate action.
Brazil’s commitment: NDCs and the journey of ecological transformation
Brazil has set ambitious targets in its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC): to reduce its net greenhouse gas emissions by 59% to 67% by 2035, with a view to carbon neutrality by 2050, while promoting climate justice.
The “Climate Justice Vision” for 2035 seeks to include every citizen in a new paradigm of economic prosperity, reconciling development with the protection of biodiversity. In other words, the nation aims for a harmonious synergy between people, the economy and nature, through the regeneration of forests, agriculture, industry, cities and communities.
To achieve these goals, the Brazilian government established the Pact for Ecological Transformation, an unprecedented initiative among the three branches of government, focused on ecological sustainability, sustainable economic development, social, environmental and climate justice, and resilience to extreme weather events.

Technology for sustainability: Takter’s contribution
Against this backdrop of challenges and opportunities, Takter Brasil positions its ICT solutions as crucial elements in achieving Brazil’s NDCs. Our approach brings together innovation and intelligence, driving ecological transformation on several fronts:
-
Emissions Reduction
We adopted sustainable solutions at our headquarters, cutting 6.98 tonnes of CO2 and improving energy efficiency.
-
Zero Waste
We eliminated plastic cups and encourage reusable items, such as mugs and bottles.
-
Eco-Friendly Gifts
We hand out eco-friendly promotional materials, such as bamboo pens and recycled items, aligning our image with our responsibility.
-
Clean Energy
The solar energy produced at our headquarters is equivalent to preserving 11 trees, reinforcing our commitment to clean, renewable energy.
-
Water Reuse
We installed smart systems that have reused 360,000 liters of water, reducing water consumption in our operations.
-
Sustainable Supply Chain
We adopted a supplier selection policy with social and environmental criteria, prioritizing those with sustainable practices.
-
Sport and Social Inclusion
By supporting Projeto Cardim and Instituto Educando Através do Esporte, we promote football lessons and values in 4 community centers.
-
Youth Training
The Young Apprentice Program in Belém trains adolescents in vulnerable situations, with the support of Movimento República de Emaús.
Technology + Ecology
The solutions Takter proposes in alignment with Brazil’s NDCs.
-
Environmental Monitoring and Control with AI and ML
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML) are indispensable for refining the monitoring of deforestation and forest degradation. AI-based systems can process large volumes of satellite data, identify patterns and predict risks, enabling proactive and more effective action against environmental crime. AI can also optimize the management of natural resources and assess climate risks with precision.
-
Document and Identity Management for Governance
For territorial planning and land tenure regularization, EDM and ECM technologies are essential. They ensure the digitization, organization and interoperability of complex databases. Digital Identity (ID Tech) and Biometrics solutions are also key to ensuring the authenticity and traceability of information and transactions, combating fraud and providing legal certainty over land ownership.
-
Cybersecurity for Green Critical Infrastructure
The energy transition and the modernization of infrastructure require robustness against digital threats. Our Cybersecurity expertise protects smart grids, renewable energy monitoring systems and climate data platforms, ensuring the integrity and availability of these operations, which are essential to a low-carbon future.
